Sync & storage

Sync runs in the background, and mashnote shows its status in the note-list header.

Check sync status

Section titled “Check sync status”

The note-list header shows a sync icon while syncing (with progress), and a subtle indicator if sync has failed. You can also trigger a manual sync from there.

Offline

Section titled “Offline”

When you’re offline, mashnote keeps working and shows an offline indicator. Your edits save locally and sync when you’re back. See Local-first & sync.

Storage usage

Section titled “Storage usage”

Your storage usage is tracked per workspace (the total size of your attachments). Your plan sets the quota — see Plans & billing.

  • Free — ~100 MB of sync storage.
  • Sync Pass — unlimited attachments.
  • Lifetime — your own storage (iCloud, Google Drive or WebDAV).
