Formatting & the toolbar

mashnote’s toolbar is intentionally small — the formatting you use every day, nothing more.

Headings

Section titled “Headings”

Use H1–H3 to structure longer notes. The first line of a note becomes its title, which shows in the note list.

Lists

Section titled “Lists”
  • Bullet and numbered lists for normal content.
  • Checklists for to-dos — checked items are struck through and dimmed. See Checklists.

Code

Section titled “Code”
  • Inline code for short snippets, like ⌘K.
  • Code blocks for longer snippets, with a monospace font.
Section titled “Links”

Select text and choose the link button to attach a URL. Links open in your default browser.
