Import from other apps

mashnote imports the two most common note formats — Evernote’s ENEX and Markdown (including Obsidian/Joplin-style folders).

Import ENEX

1. Export a notebook from Evernote as .enex.
2. In mashnote, go to Settings → Import & Export → Import and choose the file.
3. Notes are created and embedded images are uploaded and re-linked.

Import Markdown

• Single files — .md / .markdown / .txt become notes. GFM task lists become checklists.
• Markdown ZIP — a folder of Markdown plus an attachments/ folder, re-uploading image/file references.

Why import matters

Import is the other half of export: you can move to mashnote as easily as you can leave, which is the whole point.
