Migrate to mashnote

mashnote is built for no lock-in in both directions — bringing your notes in is as important as getting them out.

From Evernote

Export your notebooks as ENEX and import them:

  1. In Evernote, export the notebook as .enex.
  2. In mashnote, go to Settings → Import & Export → Import.
  3. Choose the .enex file.

Images embedded in notes are uploaded and re-linked automatically. See Import from other apps.

From Obsidian / Joplin (Markdown)

If you use a Markdown-based app that keeps notes plus an attachments folder:

  1. Export the whole vault/folder as a ZIP (.md files + an attachments/ folder).
  2. In mashnote, Settings → Import & Export → Import Markdown ZIP.
  3. Every .md becomes a note; image/file references are uploaded and re-linked.

From Apple Notes

Apple Notes has no clean export. The most reliable path is:

  1. Select your notes and use File → Export as PDF (or copy text note-by-note).
  2. Drag the PDFs or pasted text into mashnote — text lands in your Inbox, and PDFs become attachments.
