The Inbox
The Inbox is where unsorted notes live. It’s the default landing spot for anything you capture or share, and it’s pinned above All Notes so it’s always one tap away.
What goes in the Inbox
Section titled “What goes in the Inbox”- Notes you create without choosing a notebook.
- Text, links and files you share into mashnote from other apps.
- Voice memos you capture with voice to note.
- Notes you save from a share link.
It’s not a real notebook
Section titled “It’s not a real notebook”The Inbox is a virtual section, not a notebook: a note is “in the Inbox” simply because its notebook is unset. That means:
- You can’t delete the Inbox.
- There’s nothing to migrate or rename.
- Filing a note into a notebook automatically removes it from the Inbox.
Sort it later
Section titled “Sort it later”The Inbox is built for the capture-first habit: get things in now, triage them later. Capture into the Inbox throughout the day, then file or tag notes during a quiet moment.
