Every mashnote account gets a personal workspace — the private container for all your notes, notebooks and tags. You don’t see it day-to-day; it just works behind the scenes.

Your personal workspace

When you sign up, mashnote creates an implicit personal workspace for you. There’s no setup and no membership screen. Everything you create lives in this workspace.

Team-ready by design

mashnote was architected for teams from day one, even though the launch product is personal:

• The sync engine is identical for personal and team use. A personal note is a document synced to one account; a shared note is the same document synced to many.
• The workspace entity already exists, so collaboration is a feature launch — not a rebuild.

What’s coming

Shared notebooks, roles (owner / editor / viewer), invite links, presence, and @mention on checklist items. These unlock later without changing how your personal notes work. See the roadmap in the FAQ.
