Export your data

mashnote is built for no lock-in. Export everything in one click, whenever you want.

Export formats

  • Markdown — plain, portable notes (images embedded).
  • HTML — for opening in a browser.
  • ENEX — Evernote’s format, for round-tripping back if you ever want to.
  • Markdown ZIP — notes plus an attachments/ folder, self-contained when unzipped.

Export everything

Go to Settings → Import & Export → Export, choose a format, and download. Your notes, notebooks and attachments are included.

Export a single note

Section titled “Export a single note”

Open a note’s share menu and choose Export to download just that note as Markdown or HTML.

Bring-your-own storage

On the Lifetime plan, you can point mashnote at your own storage (iCloud, Google Drive or WebDAV) — an extra hedge against lock-in. See Plans & billing.
