Images & attachments
You can embed images and attach files directly in a note. Attachments are stored separately from the note text, so your notes stay fast no matter what you attach.
Add an image
Section titled “Add an image”Paste an image, or choose the image button in the toolbar. mashnote preserves the image, including PNG transparency.
Add a file
Section titled “Add a file”Choose the attachment button and pick a file (PDF, document, archive — anything). The file becomes an attachment on the note.
How storage works
Section titled “How storage works”- Attachments are stored in object storage (not inside the note text), and the note keeps a lightweight reference.
- Thumbnails are generated for images, so the note list doesn’t download full-resolution files.
- Attachments are cached locally for offline access.
When you paste from the web
Section titled “When you paste from the web”Pasting content with images uploads the referenced images automatically, so the note stays self-contained. On Safari, pasted web images fall back to a file picker.
